Seaham Harbour were crowned league champions with a hard fought win over Wearmouth. Harbour batted first making 260 for 5, with A Stephenson adding 84 and M Marwood not out 106. With K Philliskirk the pick of the Wearmouth bowlers with 1 for 30. After tea, reached 158 for 7 with M Robinson top scoring on 35 not out. C Blackford took 3 for 25 to secure victory. Congratulations to Seaham Harbour CC for winning the league trophy for 2019.
Murton look likely to secsecure second position, with a win over stuggling Belmont. Belmont batted first making 94 all out. C Smith was the top scorer with 31, whilst A Welburn took 3 for 31. In the second innings A Welburn also scored 25 to help Murton pass the total for the loss of 5 wickets, of which 2 were taken by J Ricketts for 21.
Stanhope moved themselves into fourth as the pushed aside struggling Burnhope by 5 wickets. The visitors batted first reaching 171 for 5. With D Selby 48 and M Frazer not out 72 adding the bulk of the runs. For Stanhope N Dalton took 3 for 30. After the interval S Campbell hit 72 not out to help secure victory, whilst R Omar took 2 for 24.
Beamish also moved back into the top half of the table with a win over East Rainton. Beamish batted first making 118 all out, with L Kirtley top scoring with 31, whilst C Henderson jnr did the damage with the ball taking 4 for 18. After tea, Rainton were bowled out for 91. This was mainly thanks to G Shaw with his 4 for 22, despite this J Messer did top score with 29.
The final match saw third place South Hetton cement their position with a 8 wicket victory away at Coundon. The home team batted first reaching 124 all out, it was a team effort with both L Bell and M Howe both hitting 19. Whilst A Nicholson took 3 for 18 for South Hetton. IN reply A Nicolson hit 45 and N Adamson 40 not out securing the victory, with 2 wickets lost. M Howe was the pick of the Coundon bowlers with 1 for 16.
Divsion 2
The second Division remains closely contested by Simonside and East Rainton. Both secured wins.
Simonside travelled to Burnhope and secured victory by 3 wickets. Burnhope batted first making 82 all out, 26 of which came from J Dawson. Whilst P Haynes took 4 for 17 for Sima. After tea M Pattinson was the top Simonside batsman with 20 runs, whilst D Portrey took 2 for 12.
East Rainton secured there victory by 9 wickets over Beamish. Beamish were all out for 39 with a depleted squad. D Jowett was the top scorer with 14. Whilst S Gillan took 5 for 15 for Rainton. After tea, R Richardson was 19 not out, as rainton lost one wicket in the chase. That was tkane by a Metcalfe for 12.
Seaham harbour had their free weekend,
Tantobie conceded to Kibblesworth and Murton conceded to Belmont.

Seaham Harbour vs East Rainton
East Rainton batted first making 108 all out. The top scorer being M Williamson with 30, whilst N Crosby was the pick of Harbour bowlers taking 2 for 5 (all 5 seaham bowlers took 2 wickets). After tea Seaham were bowled out for 91 with G Davison top scoring on 21 and J Holding taking 3 for 10 for Rainton.
