Seaham Harbour squeezed past Wearmouth, by 17 runs. Batting first Harbour made 215 for 6 declared. A Boal made 77 not out and N Corkhill 68, for Wearmouth K Philliskirk took 3 for 31. After tea Wearmouth were bowled out for 198, with C Wayman top scoring on 49, N Corkhill (5 for 29) and A Boal (4 for 37) again got their names on the honours board.
Burnhope completed a 20 point victory over East Rainton, leaving them as the only side without a victory this season. Batting first Rainton made 171 for 8, C Vallance top scoring on 41, whilst A Hughes took 2 for 42 for Burnhope. In reply D Selby made 68 as Burnhope passed the total with 3 wickets remaining. With S Gillan taking 4 for 39.
Two games however saw a slightly bigger margin between the sides. Kimblesworth remain unbeaten however, they got past Belmont with only 5 wickets in hand. Belmont batted first making 195 for 6. J Halliday adding 59 of the runs and S Kumar taking 3 for 38 for Kimblesworth. After tea, C Hazelwood made 83 not out, whilst S Crampton took 1 for 23 as the Belmont wickets were spread around five bowlers.
The final division one game saw South Hetton post the days highest score of 253 for 9, L Lang adding 109 of those, whilst M Ellinor took 3 for 28. Beamish replied by batting out the overs for 211 for 6, with M Ellinor top scoring on 61, with S Massey taking 3 for 30 for Hetton. So a 42 run victory for South Hetton.
Division 2
In the second division, it now appears to be a two horse race, with once again Kimblesworth and Burnhope dominating proceedings. Both sides continued their progress with victories. Belmont travelled to Kimblesworth and batted first, being bowled all out for 66, A Mason was the top scorer on 24, whilst L Punchon took 4 wickets for 8 runs and B Smith took 3 for 10.
Burnhope completed a bounus point victory over Tantobie, batting first Burnhope made 193 for 6 declared. M Steer was the top scorer on 65 whilst both T Watson and L Maddison took 2 wickets for 49 and 26 respectively. Tantobie were then bowled out for 112, with L Maddison top scoring on 22. With M Steer taking 3 for 28 and J Hughes 3 for 14. So an 81 run victory for Burnhope.
Two of the divisions first teams met, with Kibblesworth coming out as the victors over Simonside. Kibblesworth batted first being bowled out for 146, E Roberts making 53 not out. A Winter took 3 for 52 and P Haynes 3 for 21 for sima. M Leahy top scored for Simonside making 28 as the fell 17 runs short, on 129 all out. E Roberts took 3 for 12 and A Bush 3 for 32.
The final game saw Beamish continue to search for a victory, but the were denied by East Rainton. Batting first, making 156, with C Henderson top scoring on 37, whilst J Appelby took 4 for 20 for Beamish. In reply Beamish were bowled out 20 runs short on 136. S Williams was not out for 50, whilst K Burrell took 4 for 43 and C Galley 3 for 21.
