In Division 1 Wearmouth climbed to second in the table with victory over Burnhope by 20 runs, batting first Wearmouth made 168 all out, with thanks to K Philliskirk who added 73, this was despite M Fraser taking 3 for 10. In reply Burnhope were bowled out for 148, despite S Tweedy making 42 runs. J Lloyd took 3 for 34 and K Philliskirk 3 for 19.
Kimblesworth do retain the top spot however, beating Coundon by 7 wickets. Coundon batted first posting a very respectable 219 all out, with W Timms 55 being the pick of the batting. Whilst S Kumar took 3 for 23 for the home side. After tea, Kimblesworth passed the total thanks to 103 not out by D Puncheon and R logan 68 not out. J Timms did however take 2 for 56.
The final game to survive the weather saw Belmont return to winning ways away at Beamish. Belmont batted first making 112 all out, with C Milnthorpe adding 25, whilst J Stafford took 3 for 30 and D Craig 4 for 9 as Beamish replied with the ball. The Beamish innings ended with the home side all out for 74, 38 runs short. With D Craig top scoring on 26. C Smith 5 for 13 and J Ricketts 3 for 16 were the pick of the Belmont bowlers.
Seaham Harbour versus South Hetton was abandoned with South Hetton on 212 for 8, of which D Stuart scored 62. T Blackford was the pick of the harbour bowlers taking 4 for 39.
The final match was abandoned without a ball being bowled, Stanhope would have taken on East Rainton at the showground.
Division 2
Two games were completed in the second Division before the rain fell. A top of the table clash saw send placed Kibblesworth host leaders Kimblesworth. The home side batted first but they were bowled out for 51, with A Bush top scoring on 24. Both Kimblesworth bowlers took 5 wickets, with G Puncheon 5 for 39 and L Puncheon 5 for 12. Kimblesworth passed the post for the loss of 2 wickets, wit M Kulasegaram top scoring on 29 not out, whilst A Awan replied with 2 for 11.
The other completed game saw bottom of the table Beamish win their first game of the season, beating home side Tantobie. Beamish batted first and we're bowled out for 65, mainly thanks to the efforts of B Wilson 6 for 20 and N Whiteford 3 for 29. Tantobie were then bowled out for 49, with L Maddison top scoring on 13. Whilst J Simblett took 7 for 15 and J Appleby 3 for 20.
Belmont versus Simonside was abandoned with Simonside declaring on 192 for 3. With M Pattison top scoring with 76, this was despite N Dobson taking 1 for 32.
The final game saw Burnhope batting first make 133 for 9 declared. With S Luke top scoring on 103. Ian Kitching took 3 for 24 and R Petherick 3 for 44. In reply Rainton were 32 for 2 when the rain stopped play, with Tom Rennie on 19 not out. Whilst both D Portrey 1 for 16 and M Steer 1 for 18 had taken wickets.
