However teo first division games were rearranged this week.
Murton were the visitors at Seaham Harbour, harbour batted first making 292 for 2, with I Pattison scoring 186 and A Stephenson 65. The game was abandoned at tea for rain. J Vout took 1 for 53 for Murton.
The only completed game saw Wearmouth at home to undefeated Coundon. Batting first Wearmouth made 205 with K Philliskirk scoring 78. This was despite T Little taking 3 for 13 and M Willetts 3 for 40. After tea Coundon scored 127, with Moore adding 26 to the total. With McGounell 5 for 39 and K Philliskirk 3 for 32 doing the damage with the ball. This leaves table topping Seaham Harbour as the leagues only undefeated team.
The second division clubs were in action in round two of the Robert Dunnett trophy.
Burnhope batted first at Beamish scoring 143 for 9, despite D Hogg taking 4 for 21. Beamish replied with 88 all out. Of which D Webb made 34, M Steer 3 for 7 and J Lawson 3 for 21 did the damage with the ball.
Kibblesworth inflicted defeat on Seaham Harbour, Harbour batted first making 100 for 9 off the twenty overs. L Gustard scored 26 not out, despite S McEnmey taking 4 for 19 for Kibb. In reply Kibblesworth lost 3 wickets in the chase, T Humes top scoring with 46 not out. With H Semmett taking 2 for 13 for the harbour.
East Rainton travelled to Tantobie and just beat the rain to secure a place in the semis. Batting first Tantobie had a team effort, D Proud adding 15 of their 48. G Wilson did the damage for Rainton taking 5 for 7. After a quick turnaround A Cole made 37 not out to secure victory by 8 wickets, despite N Whiteford taking 1 for 8.
In the final match Murton conceded to Simonside.
