The chase for the league title ran until the final week, with Beamish and Burnhope battling until the final day of the season. However the rain cancelled all fixtures, confirming table topping Burnhope to claim their third NEDCL title, with 320 points ( 7 ahead of Beamish) winning 14 matches, losing 3 and 3 rained off. Beamish finished second. East Rainton saw a startling rise from 7th last year to third this year. Kimblesworth, Coundon, Simonside and Wearmouth retained their mid table positions from last season. Belmont saw a huge rise from second bottom last year to 6th this year, with 5 wins pushing them up to their highest position in a few years. Stanhope rose from bottom last year to second bottom, with 5 wins compared to last year's three. Finally propping up the table are Tantobie who unfortunately fell two places this season. Congratulations to Burnhope and well done to all member clubs.
East Rainton continued their dominance of Division 2, winning the division for the 6th time in 7 years, by a margin of 47 points over second placed Kimblesworth. Rainton finishing with 339 points, winning 16, losing 1 and 3 rained off. The chasing pack consisted of Kimblesworth, Burnhope, Beamish and Wearmouth with points ranging from 292 to 244, all of whom had been in the second position throughout the season. Hunwick retained their mid table position from last season. Kibblesworth saw an upturn in fortunes winning 8 matches this season compared to 5 last year, a climb up the league table was the result. Tantobie seconds climbed from second bottom to second bottom climbing two places this season. Belmont however have had a collapse this year falling from 5th to 9th this year. Simonside fell one place. Whilst Coundon seconds remain bottom however this year they won two matches compared to last year's winless run. Well Don to East Rainton and all teams see you next year.

Congratulations to the four clabs that won trophies this season, as well as all clubs which took part in the cups this year. Hopefully next year we can share the cups out amongst everyone next season!
The league presentation night will be held at the Chilton Country Club, Houghton le Spring on Saturday 14th November hopefully we will see you all their. Have a nice winter off and see you all next season.
