Firstly an amendment to the final league table, this has seen Seaham Harbour deducted points for fielding an ineligible player. This has resulted in Seaham Harbour dropping into Third place and Burnhope returning to second place.
Burnhope, played 18, won 9, drawn 3, tied 1, lost 5, 257 points.
Seaham Harbour, played 18, won 10, drawn 4, tied 0, lost 4, 254 points.
The second point is that as Champions of the NEDCL Kimblesworth CC will seek promotion into the Durham Cricket league. This is subject to a team been relegated from the DCL and Kimblesworths ground meeting a ground inspection on Saturday. We would like to wish Kimblesworth the best of luck, which ever league they compete in.
The final positive for next seasons NEDCL is that three clubs currently running one side have indicated that they intend to enter two teams for the 2019 season. So subject to relegation from the DCL and all existing members continuing to operate next season this would a first division of 11 teams and a second of 12. So things are looking up for the NEDCL.
