Coundon pulled off a 185 run victory at home to Burnhope. Batting first the home team made 248 for 8, with L Bell 61 top scoring in a team effort. Whilst D Portrey took 5 for 48 for the visiting team. In reply M Howe took 5 for 23 as Burnhope were bowled out for 63, despite 29 from D Selby.
Kimblesworth faced a tough test against South Hetton, but bowled out the opposition with 21 runs to spare. The leagues top side made 186 for 8, with TJ Taylor top scoring on 77, whilst four S Hetton bowlers took two wickets each. With R Wilson and M Took taking 2 for 26. South Hetton went on to make 165 all out, with L Lang top scoring on 43. whilst R Beeson took 5 for 35.
Belmont returned to winning ways at home to Stanhope. Batting first the visitors made 162 for 5, with H Muse ending the innings not out 58, whilst S Crampton took 2 for 39 for Belmont. Belmont however completed a ten wicket victory, with A Bowery 87 not out and D Reynolds 81 not out.
The final game saw Seaham Harbour defeat Beamish by 5 wickets. Beamish batted first being bowled out for 138, L Kirtley top scoring with 26 and C Blackford 3 for 24 and R OConnor 3 for 18 topping the bowling. Seaham passed the total with the loss of 5 wickets, as A Simblett took 4 for 37, and S Pattison top scored on 48.
It is in Division 2 that we see the largest score of the day. Beamish seconds took on Belmont at home making 303 for 6, with A Ward 104 and S Mars 105 not out, in reply I Pratt took 2 wickets for 96 runs. The visitors struggled with the bat however, ending the innings 220 runs short, despite I Wright making 22 not out. L College took 3 for 7 and M Thompson 4 for 13.
Second placed Kibblesworth continue to put pressure on leaders Kimblesworth, and A Awan cam e back to haunt former club Tantobie. Tantobie batted first making a respectable 120 all out, with D Proud making 45. However A Awan took 4 for 6. He also made 104 not out to see Kibb over the line despite B Wilson taking 1 for 44.
Simonside also returned to winning ways, they bowled out Burnhope for unlucky 111 with M Steer top scoring on 18, whilst S Winter took 6 for 57 and P Haynes 3 for 28. R Hnederson then went on top top score with 25 as Simonside passed the post for the loss of three wickets. All of which were taken by A Sowden (3 for 36).
The final game saw leaders Kimblesworth make it 9 victories from 9. As they beat East Rainton by 6 wickets. Batting first Rainton made 197 for 8, with S Hutchinson top scoring with 59. Whilst P Nixon (3 for 46) and N Kulasegaram (3 for 45) took three wickets apiece to peg Rainton back. However KImblesworth batting strength shone through, with A Carse 72 saw Kimblesworth home. With A Bell topping the Rainton bowling with 2 for 52.
