With league leaders Kimblesworth and third placed Wearmouth have rearranged their tie, allowing the chasing pack of Burnhope, Seaham Harbour and South Hetton to gain ground. Burnhope overcame a scare away at bottom side Stanhope. The home team batted first making 140 all out, A Young top scored on 57, whilst A Hughes took 3 for 10 for Burnhope. Burnhope lost 6 wickets in reply, with A Hughes top scoring on 25. A Brown took the 2 for 20 for Stanhope.
Seaham Harbour defeated a strong Belmont team by 91 runs. Harbour batted first making 220 for 7, with N Corkhill ending the innings undefeated on 130, whilst A Ricketts took 4 for 26 for Belmont. D Reynolds led the Belmont reply making 47 not out, as he ran out of partners, with the innings closing on 129 all out. M Stuart did the damage for Harbour taking 5 for 17.
South Hetton had to overcome Coundon, who set a strong target of 239 all out. With T Little making 54 in a team effort. Whilst P Franks took 3 for 43 for Hetton. L Lang scored 71 and S McCoy 51 not out led the line as S Hetton passed the mark for the loss of 5 wickets. Whilst M Howe 2 for 65 and T Little 2 for 19 took the bulk of the wickets.
The final game saw East Rainton slip to defeat at the hands of Beamish. Beamish batted first making 147 for 8, with M Elinor ending the innings on 56 not out, for Rainton J Holding took 3 for 18. The total proved too much for Rainton as they were bowled out for 123, with T Rennie top scoring on 29. C Pither 3 for 11 and A Simblett 4 for 30 did the damge for Beamish.
In division 2, leaders Kimblesworth inflected a heavy defeat on Burnhope, Burnhope batted first making 35 all out. A Sowden top scored with 11, whilst G Punchon 5 for 24 and L Punchon 5 for 11 took all of the wickets for Kimb. After tea, S Emmerson top scored on 17 not out, whilst D Portrey took 2 for 4 for the away team.
The game between Beamish and Kibblesworth saw the largest margin for victory, with Kibblesworth keeping pace at the top. Kibblesworth batted first making 241 all out, with A Awan once again top scoring with 100, the bulk of the wickets were taken by S Williams 4 for 37 and J Appleby 5 for 45. After tea Beamish resistance was lead by A Ward who made 41 runs, but he ran out of partners as they ended on 104 all out, 137 runs short.
Simonside welcomed East Rainton to Oakleigh gardens, and as earlier in the season Sima made a big score. Batting first they made 229 for 8, with C Glancy ending the innings un defeated on 102, of note for Rainton were I Kitching 3 for 32 and G Wilson 4 for 49. After tea rainton were bowled out for a respectable 168, with S Hutchinson 73 and G Wilson 52, this total was despite J Surtees taking 5 for 23.
The final game between Belmont and Tantobie, was conceded by Tantobie. Only the second conceded game of the season, a huge improvement on last year. Hopefully Tantobie will be back stronger next week.

Semi final 1 saw Burnhope (137) beat Beamish (123).
Semi final 2 saw Kimblesworth (178 for 8) tie with Wearmouth (178 for 8), the match then went to a super over which saw Wearmouth into the final. Kimblesworth (8 for 2) lose to Wearmouth (10 for 2).
The final then saw Burnhope (150) lose to Wearmouth (153 for 3).
