A rain effected week this week. Two games ended in an unusual way, in accordance with the Laws of Cricket law 21 section 3, Coundon conceded to Hunwick during the game T Little took 4 for 29 as Coundon made 103 all out. Hunwick were 71 for 1 when rain interfered and the home side conceded the tie. The same happened at Stanhope, the home side reached 55 all out, with D Showler taking 5 for 27. Kimblesworth were 40 for 2 when the rain arrived. The rain also effected the matches at Belmont where the home side were 10 for 1 against South Hetton and at Burnhope, Beamish were 29 for 0 when the rain fell. Finally the only game to finish in the league was East Rainton vs Wearmouth. With Wearmouth making 120 all out and Rainton batted out the overs to make 82 for 8.
Coundon (103 for 8 conceded) lost to Hunwick (71 for 1).
Stanhope (55 all out conceded) lost to Kimblesworth (40 for 2)
East Rainton (82 for 8) lost to Wearmouth (120 all out) by 38 runs.
Belmont (10 for 1) match abandoned versus South Hetton
Burnhope versus Beamish (29 for 0) abandoned rain.
In division 2 there were two completed games. Coundon batted first at Tantobie, however they were pegged back to 20 all out by N Whiteford taking 4 for 9. In reply Tantobie passed the total for the loss of 3 wickets. The other game saw Wearmouth beat East Rainton. Batting first Wearmouth reaching 107 for 6. In reply Rainton were all out 3 runs short, ending on 104.
Tantobie (23 for 3) beat Coundon (20 all out) by 7 wickets.
Wearmouth (107 for 6) beat East Rainton (104 all out) by 3 runs.

Kimblesworth verus Simonside - Simonside conceded.

On Sunday the the final of the Norman Martin cup was played at South Hetton.
Burnhope batted first reaching 155 for 9, in reply Wearmouth were all out for 79.
