The first divisions top two sides met, with Murton travelling to Seaham Harbour. Batting first harbour made 224 for 5, with I Patterson 76 and N Cowell 89 not out, with J Watson taking 2 for 35 for Murton. After tea J Vout made 45 not out as Murton were skittled out for 94. N Corkhill 4 for 16 and M Stuart 3 for 35 did the damage with the ball.
Coundon also maintained their unbeaten start of the season, beating home team Burnhope by 6 wickets. Batting first Burnhope were bowled out for 102, with A Hughes top scoring on 41, whilst T Little took 4 for 23. In reply T Little top scored with 37 not out as Coundon passed the total, despite A Hughes taking 2 for 30.
Beamish gained a first win of the campaign away at Belmont. The visitors batted first making 179 all out, M Hutton was the top scorer on 49 not out. Belmont replied with J Ricketts 4 for 28 and C Smith 4 for 34. Belmont were then bowled out for 83, thanks to L Kirtley taking 4 for 28. Whilst M Choudhury made 40.
South Hetton also keep tabs with the top teams with a 7 wicket victory over East Rainton. Batting first Rainton were dismissed for 129, with J Messer making 38 not out, with S Massey taking 4 for 31. In reply 51 not out from P Frank's saw hetton home. With C Valance taking 2 for 35.
The final game saw Wearmouth defeat Stanhope. Wearmouth batted first at Carley Hill making 168 for 8, with 63 from K Philliskirk and P Oneill taking 3 for 26 for the dalesmen. After tea H Muse made 42, it wasnt quite enough however as Stanhope batted out the overs for 121, despite C Spurs taking 2 for 43.
Division 2
Tantobie finally played their first game of the season, however it wasnt the result they hoped for, losing by 8 wickets to Burnhope. Batting first Tantobie made 102 all out, with S English making 45, however J Allen took 5 for 33 for Burnhope. After tea R Hardwick made 46 not out as Burnhope passed the total. With I Boothroyd taking 1 for 30 and S Rehman 1 for 26 for Tantobie.
Belmont won their first game of the year away at Beamish. The visitors batted first with T Wilson 75 and D Bradley 111 not out making 229 for 6.
