At the half way point league leaders Seaham Harbour (and South Hetton) sat out this week. Second placed Murton could not gain ground however as they were rained off against Beamish. Coundon vs Wearmouth was played out for a tie. Coundon batted first making 210 all out, with a team effort, which saw C Sam's 36, V Ghanuvisla 38, M Howe 31 and W Timms 30. For Wearmouth P Brigham took 5 for 53. The rain effected game was timed out at 7.30 with Wearmouth on 134 for 6. With C Barella not out 30 and S Houghton 27 not out. Whilst A Tait took 3 for 33 for Coundon.
The other completed game saw Belmont fall to Burnhope. Belmont batted first being bowled out for 128. With both M Bowery and M Haque scoring 27. M Fraser took 4 for 14 and A Hughes 4 for 34 to do the damage for Burnhope. After tea S Ahmed made 37 and M Steer 39 not out to see Burnhope across the line, despite J Ricketts taking 3 for 24.
The final match saw Stanhope concede to East Rainton.
Division 2
Joint leaders Simonside climbed away at the top of division 2 as fellow leaders East Rainton fell foul of the rain. Tantobie batted first and were 19 for 6 when the rain fell. M Jane took 4 for 4 whilst D Proud top scored with 5.
Simonside travelled to Seaham Harbour. The home side batted first making 172 all out. S Hacon 46 and D Bacon 61 top the leader board, J Surtees took 5 for 29 for Sima. After tea C Glancey scored 51 and A Thompson 45 not out as Simonside passed the total for the loss of 5 wickets. J Lamb took 2 for 43 and J Robinson 2 for 42.
The final game saw Beamish post 205 for 8 against Murton. Helped greatly by S Mars scoring 103 for thr first wicket. With L Chaytor 2 for 18 and N Peel 2 for 5 for Murton. In reply Murton were bowled out for 140 with L Fortune 41 and L Chaytor 36. A Metcalfe 3 for 32 and K Ward 3 for 22 did the damage for Beamish, a victory which moves them away from the foot of the table.
The final game saw Belmont concede to Burnhope.

Both the league cup T20 final and Robert Dunnett T20 final were postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
